Footstepsinthesand Filly All Heart On Debut

Lincoln Legacy (2f Footstepsinthesand - Crystal Valykrie, by Danehill) produced a likeable debut performance to win the fillies’ novice stakes at Kempton on Tuesday evening.

Racing over six furlongs, Charlie Johnston’s representative led before the four furlong pole and was pushed along when headed approaching the final furlong. Rallying under pressure, she regained the advantage close home and kept on well to beat the more experienced favourite by a length.

Bred by COP Hanbury, Lincoln Legacy is a full-sister to Group 3 winner Sent From Heaven (Footstepsinthesand), who was beaten just three parts of a length in the 1,000 Guineas. The daughter of Footstepsinthesand subsequently produced Lincoln Legacy’s black-type stablemate Benacre (Australia).
