G2 target for Footsteps black-type winner
Trainer Endo Botti has some big targets in mind for Kaspersky (4c Footstepsinthesand-Croanda, by Grand Lodge) after the four-year-old returned to action in great style in Rome on Sunday.
The Footstepsinthesand colt, home-bred by La Nuova Sbarra, took the Listed Premio Natale di Roma over a mile comfortably from stablemate Lodovico Il Morro. A step up in grade is now on the cards for the winner.
“He needs good or fast ground and this time he got it. Kaspersky is a fresh horse, we expect to have a good season and have the G2 Premio Carlo Vittadini in mind. All going well, he will try a target abroad later this year,” Botti told EBN.
