Listed Winner Adds To Footstepsinthesand’s Impressive Stakes Tally

Wannacry (3f Footstepsinthesand - Kykuit, by Green Desert) became the latest Stakes winner by Footstepsinthesand when taking Saturday’s Listed Premio Nogara for three-year-old fillies at Milan.

14 lined up for the seven furlong contest, with the Endo Botti-trained filly finishing strongly to score by a length. Owned by Razza Latina and bred by La Nuova Sbarra, Wannacry becomes the third black-type performer out of Group 3 winner Kykluit. The second dam also produced Derby Italiano third Rockmaster (Galileo) and comes from the family of Crackerjack King and Jakkalberry.

Castlehyde Stud resident Footstepsinthesand lays claim to 32 individual Group winners and another 30 Listed winners. After a terrific 2019 season with Threat and Mums Tipple, the son of Giant’s Causeway commanded a fee of €15,000 in 2020.
