Bbag Lot 61 Mastercraftsman Filly Ex Dyvecke

Six Figure Sales For Mastercraftsman And Zoffany At BBAG

A daughter of Mastercraftsman is now bound for Australia after selling to Bahen Bloodstock for €120,000 at the Baden-Baden yearling sale.

Consigned by Gestut Westerberg as Lot 61, she is a half-sister to Group 3 winner and Preis der Diana second Diamond Dove, out of a full-sister to Group 1 victor Donaldson. German breeders have enjoyed great success with Mastercraftsman, having bred dual Grade 1 winner A Raving Beauty and Group 2 scorer Ashiana.

Another Coolmore Stud sire to enjoy a six-figure sale on Friday was Zoffany, after Stall Eines Tages went to €100,000 for his son consigned by Gestut Brummerhof. Already named Juanito, he is a half-brother to German champion three-year-old sprinter Julio and comes from the family of Melbourne Cup hero Rekindling.

After a profitable few days at Goffs UK, Footstepsinthesand saw a full-brother to dual Group winner Dragon Lips (Footstepsinthesand) sell Paul Harley Bloodstock for €80,000. Consigned by Gestut Graditz, his half-brother by Ruler of The World was retained last year and has been named Duke Of Lips.

The Footstepsinthesand colt is, in fact, related to the catalogue’s only yearling by The Gurkha, which sold for €70,000 to A-Turf. Offered by Gestut Graditz as Lot 60, the colt is the first foal out of Listed winner and German 1,000 Guineas third Dynamic Lips, herself a half-sister to Dragon Lips.
