Bridgewater Bay (Footstepsinthesand) Wins At Kempton

Son Of Footstepsinthesand Makes All To Maiden Victory

Bridgewater Bay (3g Footstepsinthesand - Mexican Milly, by Noverre) built on a promising debut to take Wednesday’s Novice Stakes at Kempton.

The Jane Chapple-Hyam trained chesnut finished third on his first attempt last month and was sent off second favourite for the mile contest. Adam Kirby rode him to lead, asking him to quicken from over a furlong out and was driven out to beat the short-priced favourite by a length and a half, the pair racing nine lengths clear of the third.

Bred by Tower Place Bloodstock, Bridgewater Bay is owned by Suzanne and Nigel Williams. He continues a terrific year for Footstepsinthesand, highlighted by Threat’s two Group 2 victories and Mums Tipple’s hugely impressive win at the York Ebor Festival.
