Another first crop winner for Westerner
Never Forget (3f Westerner-Topira, by Pistolet Bleu) made a good impression at Maisons-Laffitte in France on Wednesday when landing a 1m2½f conditions event.
Trained by Elie Lellouche, Never Forget is out of a winning sister to 2 stakes winners.
A top-class racehorse, Westerner notched up eleven wins from 8f. to 20f., including five times at G1 level. He was rated 130 by Timeform – one of Danehill’s highest rated sons.
His first crop includes some very promising winners and several Gr.1 and Classic entrants. Westerner stands at Castlehyde Stud and his stock has already made an impression at the National Hunt sales with prices of €100,000, €90,000, €85,000 etc.
